Logi Bundals › Carrier bill reconciliation software

Carrier bill reconciliation software: check the bill before you pay it.

A carrier's bill has hundreds of lines, and a few of them are billed at a higher weight than you booked. Logi Bundals holds what each parcel should have cost, so a pasted bill is checked line by line in one step.

Screens on this page show the demo company, Sahyadri Express Couriers, Pune.

How a bill is checked

Paste, match, decide.

The cost of a parcel is fixed when it is booked: the vendor's price for the weight, plus that vendor's fuel surcharge.

  1. Paste the bill

Choose the carrier and paste one line per parcel: AWB, billed kg, billed amount. The AWB can be your own number or the carrier's number saved on the parcel.

  2. Each line gets a status

"Matched" when the billed amount is not above your cost. "Billed more" when it is. "Not our parcel?" when no parcel of that carrier has the number. A parcel that was already billed once is never matched again: the second line shows as billed more, for its full amount.

  3. Decide on the lines that differ

Each such line has two buttons. "Dispute" marks it while you take it up with the carrier. "Accept" closes it. The total still over is shown at the top until every line is settled.

  4. Where the weight comes from

When a parcel was weighed at check-in, the line shows the weight on your scale. Otherwise it shows the booked weight. That is the figure to quote back to the carrier.

What the screen keeps counting.

Matched lines and Lines that differ, with the rupees over. A disputed line stays in the second count until it is accepted.

Unbilled over 30 days: parcels booked with a carrier more than 30 days ago that no bill has covered yet. A bill for them is still to come.

Margin per AWB this month: your cut added up over the month's bookings, divided by their number.

A partner linked on Network is not in the carrier list here. Those bookings are settled on the Network statement.

Plainly

What it does, and what it does not.

It checks a bill against your own bookings. It does not pay anyone.

It does
  • A pasted carrier bill checked against your parcels, by your AWB or the carrier's
  • A status for every line: matched, billed more, or not our parcel
  • The weight on your scale beside the billed weight
  • A double billing of the same parcel caught
  • Dispute and accept, with the total still over
  • A count of parcels no bill has covered after 30 days
It does not
  • Read a bill from a PDF or an Excel file. Lines are pasted as text
  • Pay the carrier or make a payment file
  • Write to the carrier, or raise a debit note
  • Re-bill your customer for a weight difference
  • Check a carrier's fuel surcharge line by line. It compares the total for a parcel
  • Flag a line that is billed below your cost

Questions about carrier bills

My carrier bills by its own AWB number. Will that match?

Yes, when that number is saved on the parcel. It is typed in a tracking update, or filled in when scans are pulled from connected carrier software.

What if the carrier bills the same parcel twice?

The first line is checked as usual. The second line for that parcel is shown as billed more, for its whole amount.

Who can see these figures?

Only people whose login has the Vendor Settlement app. Cost is not shown to staff who have no money app.

Can I upload the bill as a file?

Not today. Copy the three columns from the bill and paste them.

Can I start using it today?

Not yet. The portal is being prepared for launch. The sign-up page and the demo page always show whether they are open.
